warning - slightly drunk post!
So I had that thing I was not freaking out about today - it was my PhD viva, and it all went well, so now I'm unofficially officially a doctor. I also got "no corrections" which I was completely stunned by. So stunned that when they told I couldn't really speak, got slightly tearful and may have hugged my supervisor against her will!! Since then I've had a very posh dinner and a fair amount of boozahol and I keep thinking like this is all a dream and I'm going to wake up tomorrow and have to actually do it. I'll probably blog more about the process late, but now I'm taking my drunken ass to bed!

Yay! Congratulations, Doc. And no corrections! That is freaking brilliant. I'm racing to complete mine at the moment and hearing you got through yours is great inspiration. Keep up the celebrating - you've more than earned it.
Doctor Aunty Helpful Dictator! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I am a shite friend for having forgotten. But as soon as you left the comment on my blog saying that you were drunk (couldn't tell, honest!) and I saw that you were boozing on a week night, I just KNEW!
Woman, you are my hero. Seriously, this is such a tremendous achievement and I'm incredibly incredibly proud of you!!!! AND NO CORRECTIONS! OH! MY! WORRRD! Just for that alone you get a virtual hug.
I know how long this journey has been for you, so I'm actually getting all misty eyed and mushy now.

@Nadia: Use the force. I feel for you. My peak craziness came last July about 8 weeks before I actually submitted... I never want to be that crazy again! The thing is you go on for ages being bewildered and then one day you have a fleeting moment where you see how it all fits together... it's a nice moment... then you get bewildered again!
@Red: Oh I can never to captcha! But I think that just means I'm a robot or something!
Josie: I will only use my title with people who are being obnoxious to me... other than that I think it's just wankery... I'll always be Aunty - its a way more important title anyway!!
